The Danish Girl


OMG! is how i felt after watching this poignant life drama of transformation. It follows a husband's journey to self discovery and to truly understand who he really is.  It begins with a fascination while husband and wife artists are painting a portrait for a friend's party, and Einar/Lili (Eddie Redmayne) falls in love with women's clothes, then it lead to a big decision that changed his life for ever, while his loving wife Gerda (Alicia Vikander) is supporting him through it all.  It's sad that Einar/Lili dies after his final operation. This picture made me fully understand the saying "he who made me, he who knows me".  The Danish girl deserve an Oscar for its portrayal of transgender people and the hardness they face everyday from society, if not for the full frontal scene where Einar/Lili put his penis between his thighs.
